The month of August every year witnesses a massive homecoming from different towns and cities across the world of “Igbo women” groups to their matrimonial rural hometowns, where they unite with their rural-based colleagues for what is now popularly known as the “August Meeting.” These “mothers’ congresses,” as they truly are, were originally often geared towards self-help rural community development, but have in recent times delved into conflict management, peace-building and human development in rural societies.

The team at Bolakoka produced 6000 yards (6 yards in 1000 places) of Customised Bournvita Ankara Fabric for the 2019 August meeting. This project was proudly delivered within 3 – 4 weeks with the process beginning from the concept created, production of samples for approvals , final production and delivery.

The Bournvita branding involved not just the fabric but also the fabric sticker, labels and nylon bags to provide an overall WoW experience.

After design was created and approved, we created a protoype of the sample on a piece of cloth to enable the client see in close range what to expect from the digital design we created. It was exciting with all hands-on-deck as seen in video below.

Actual production of 6000 yards of the approved design on cotton fabric started after the sample was approved and delivery processed immediately. It was a project we are grateful to be a part of.
